     The lessons are multi-sensory and hands-on, ensuring that the students truly experience what they are being taught. The lessons are structured with discussion-starters, to create a lively, interactive classroom experience. The information truly becomes the student's own.

     Our Hebrew School uses the new, acclaimed Aleph Champ program to ensure that  your child will read fluently at the end of his/her Hebrew School experience.

HEBREW
Our students learn to read Hebrew. They gain confidence and familiarity with the Siddur-Hebrew Prayer Book.

TORAH STORIES = Responsibilities to the World Around Them 
Study of the Torah Stories 
educates our students 
the practical lessons that they become familiar with in order to apply them to their interactions with the world around them.

ISRAEL
Our students will attain an affection for our heritage and a uniqueness of our homeland Israel.


JEWISH HISTORY
The students gain an appreciation of our heritage and culture that has been preserved
throughout the ages.

HOLIDAYS AND SHABBAT
Traditions and celebrations, exploring
the Jewish Holidays and Shabbat will provide a deeper understanding for our students.


JEWISH VALUES
Beginning with the origins of the mitzvot,
stressing practical applications
in our daily lives, our students
will explore a personal Jewishness.

 

  

Activities

FIRST TASTE PROGRAM

Ages 4-6 every Sunday in Albuquerque, or Wednesday in Rio Rancho, for the duration of the Scholastic year.

First Taste is designed to grab a child's attention with song, art, drama and games. By exposure to the alph-bet, Torah tales, prayer through song and holiday studies, a child gains a sense of pride and love for Judaism.

Annual Tuition: $500 (includes supplies/book fee)

HEBREW SCHOOL

Ages 7-12 every Suday in Albuquerque, or Wednesday in Rio Rancho, for the duration of the scholastic year.

This program offers a more advanced Hebrew and Jewish studies curriculum. Students learn to read and write Hebrew and gain an appreciation for the who, what, where and why of Jewish life.

CHABAD TUTORIAL PROGRAM

Tutoring to help your child to grow.

CHS is proud to offer a new tutorial program for all Jewish Children regardless of enrollment in the Hebrew School. Our one-on-one format allows your child to grow at their own pace, and to receive the undivided attention of a skilled educator. This methode of learning has proven to be very successful.

BAR / BAT MITZVAH

Ages 12-13, twice weekly for a year.

Prepare your child for the most important day of young adulthood. The transition from child to teenager is an important milestone in any child's life. Give your child the tools he she needs to properly navigate life as a responsible adult..

For 13 - 15 year olds

Where teens get to decide which topics they'd like to discuss with the Rabbi. To be held twice a month on Sundays.
